![]() ![]() I hope this helps you out, with a little time on the workbench the stock suspension can be made to work fine. Also, if you have any extra weight in the back end of the truck like some do this can cause the truck sag in the rear. Now repeat on the other 3 shocks and your truck will have a properly working suspension. Don't over do it, you don't want the orings fopping around in the shock body. Another way is to take the shock apart and sand down the spacer that sits between the 2 orings a little at a time untill the orings no longer get compressed when the cap is tightened all the way. The easy way is to just unscrew the cap about 1/4 turn, the shock should cycle and rebound much smoother now. The stock shocks can be bound up if the black cap on the bottom of the shock body that holds the orings in is tightened snugly on the body,it will pinch the orings and the shock will not rebound smoothly causing the truck to sag badly. After you make sure the suspension is free then check the shocks out. Next you want to make sure that the tie rods pivot freely, this is often overlooked but is very portant. If it is bound up first check and make sure the suspension pins are not bent. Pull the shocks off the truck and check if the suspension moves freely with NO binding. Everything is stock at the moment.īefore you start spending money make sure that what you have is working the way it is supposed to. ![]() I talked to one of the staff at the local track and he pointed me in the direction of Team AE big bores over the proline powerstrokes but I would like to see if there is a cheaper fix I can go with like stiffer springs or if there is something wrong that I need to fix. It seems like SCT's run much softer suspension that my old T3 but is this right? It seems like it shouldn't rub that much paint after such little use.Īnyways, I've caught the RC bug again and would like to get this thing running right before getting crazy with LCG's and stuff. After some mild testing on the street and 1 short bash session(~2 5000mah/40c lipos) at a small outdoor track I have noticed that both the front and rear tires have rubbed off a bit of paint. But I didn't think too much about it at the time. Right off the bat I noticed the rear end sagged a little bit in comparison to the front. It was pretty much brand new when I got it. I just got back into the hobby and while in the process of fixing up my old T3 picked up a 2wd Slash VXL(w/ Velineon system) from a coworker. ![]()
